And my total word count is...

</a>

:D Go me! And I can make it. I'm going for 50k by Nov 26, otherwise I lose as I will be going on a boat trip from Miami through that giant lake in the middle of Florida and into Fort Myers then up to Sarasota. Yeeahh, that'll take a few nights over the Thanksgiving weekend.

AND I'm really enjoying my story, I love my characters. I actually have a deaf character that is more awesome than last year and considering in giving her the Usher's like the one I have (about going blind). So yeah... hmmmm. So yeah, this story has a lot of what I experienced in real life, unlike what I wrote last year about a complete deaf guy who was becoming a king of some country with his evil twin hearing brother trying to become the king.... yeah. Wacko that story was.

My Break

NaNoWriMo starts today. Give us a one-sentence description of the novel you plan to write.

View 502 Answers

Should I or should I not nano? That is the question of the ages. Third option is halfway, writing two fanfics that's already started, and starting today, get 50k total for both stories. Or at the very least, complete them.

-nod-nod-

OR I could, y'know, write something new. Maybe I'll write about a person who's deafblind...

This is a really good, high quality test, I enjoyed it!

Your result for What Your Taste in Art Says About You Test...

Non-conformist, Visionary, and Independent

10 Abstract, -9 Islamic, 0 Ukiyo-e, 3 Cubist, 4 Impressionist and -26 Renaissance!

Abstract art uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which exists independently of  what may appear to others as visual realities.  Western had been underpinned by the logic of perspective and an attempt to reproduce an illusion of visible reality.  It allowed the progressive thinking artists to show a different side to the world around them.  By the end of the 19th century many artists felt a need to create a 'new kind of art' which would encompass the fundamental changes taking place in technology, science and philosophy.  Abstract artists created art that was diverse and reflected the social and intellectual turmoil in all areas of Western culture.

People that chose abstract art as their preferred artform tend to be visionsaries.  They see things in the world around them and in people that others may miss because they look beyond what is visual only with the eye.  They rely on their inner thoughts and feelings in dealing with the world around them instead of on what they are told they should think and feel.  They feel freed from the tendancy to be bound by traditional thought and experiences.  They look more toward their own ideas and experiences than what they are told by their religious upbringing or from scientific evidence.  They tend to like to prove theories themselves instead of relying on the insight or ideas of others.  They are not bound by common and mundane, but like to travel and have new experiences.  They value intelligence, but they also enjoy a challenge.  They can be rather argumentative when they are being forced or feel as if they are being forced to conform.

My Break
こんばんは! I hope y'all are doing great, and just a matter of trying to live day by day. As for me, I've been taking Japanese seriously. For years, I barely cracked the understanding of the grammar and now I'm doing just that.

I'm not learning Japanese for the sake of--well, Japanese. I have always felt love for languages and more than anything, I want to learn all sorts of things. I want to learn Indonesian, Arabic, JSL, Hebrew, Chinese, Spanish. I'm not so sure about french, the pronociations, I can't catch at all. Well, from My French Coach at least.

When I master both ASL, Japanese and a degree in Education, I plan to continue learning other languages. Right now, it is not feasible for me to just go to school and learn the language I want to learn because they're on a different campus. So, I'm just going to get a head start on the languages that I do want to learn.

So, there you have it. For those who know Japanese, I'd love to practice with you. I've loads of learning materials at my finger tips, but all I really know how is the following sentence. Sorta... 今何時ですか? Hm, oughta study those 漢字... At least the grammar is easy for me to grasp, the hardest is learning all the 薫読み & 音読み. Is it REALLY necessary to learn all that? Or do I just focus on the vocab? But on the JLPT, one portion tests on readings of the kanji and their 薫読み & 音読み.

Once I have that answered, I can pretty much move forward from there. Thanks in advance. XD

(The Japanese text was brought to you by http://sumibi.org/?long=1, a WONDERFUL site for typing in Japanese. My computer sucks like that.)

Also, I have been inspired to try things again ever since I was able to successfully switch from QWERTY to Dvorak keyboard. I just need the time, diligence and discipline to keep going.

What is it with me lately... I've been feeling really pissy and upset. It can't be the hormones coming from PMS because I'm now in the middle of it. Or do they still persist? Well anyway. Tried to hang out with someone so I could be out of the house for awhile, but nooo, it has to be cut short and come home sooner so mom and Case could go out for a fancy dinner and required that I stay home and watch the kids. Lousy job I did that.

I nearly abandoned them when I was trying to make rice balls and attempted to go to Walgreens, with or without the kids. I kind of got angry to the point of shoving Sam against the wall because he thought I couldn't do it because of my "disabilities."

Oh, yeah, nice way to word it, bro. So, you don't trust me? That really fucking hurts. So sorry for ruining your day because of that and put a damper on the house. (He got his Flybar 800 pogo-stick today, he plans to be a pro and he seems really serious.) The air was really lousy when I was making the rice balls and they wanted to help but then the mood soured... so... yeah.

Anyway, I'm rather proud of the creations. I will be placing the halved eggs on top of those shredded carrots. As you can see, it is highly influenced by bento ideas but only for two type of dishes. I will put up the finishing pictures tomorrow with the eggs (they have faces on them, X3)

My Creations and other pictures

I just hope this feeling of pissiness goes away tomorrow when I wake up. If not, then I can't wait for Michigan which is on May 13.

I am utterly bored. I keep checking and rechecking a bunch of sites constantly (DA, MMO, Gaia, AI forums...) I need a muse! My muses aren't online. ;_;

I don't feel like writin' nor do I feel particularly creative.

Gah, I need to write at least 1k words a day to enter the story for Max. D:

-sighs-

I want to sleep, but I can't because I'm trying to get my sleep pattern back in order for the rest of the week until I leave for Michigan. So, I stayed up all night and day now. I even went to the YMCA even though my body is weird and my heart definitely was racing faster than usual, and it didn't feel right. I half thought what it would be like to go into a cardiac arrest...

Oh, there's something I discovered in myself today that I haven't thought of before. I thought my personality changes started taking roots when I was in 7th grade, but no, it has to be as early as second or third grade. I recall being nervous to ask a personal question and thought it would be rude to ask. (Whether the couple I met on a special field trip were my teacher's parents or not.) I wish I asked more questions back then because I could get away with my youthful innocence... y'know, kids ask the darnest questions.

I wonder why and what made me start becoming nervous back then... I don't recall any specific incident. All the teachers were awesome, and even let me sleep over at their houses for fun. Yeah, I was a total teacher's pet back then. Still... something's not adding up. Maybe I already started putting up a facade where I don't want to appear nosy... -sighs-

Yeah, all this is making (literally) my head hurt and I've been up for 24 hours now.

Death Note

Fufufufufu
So, I spent quite a bit of last night watching Death Note so that I can get a head start on writing the pairing I've been meaning to for awhile. That's Raito/Ryuuzaki. The reason I had to watch these episodes is so that I can portray their personalities, their character, etc, as accurately as possible.

Unfortunately, this means I must take out Misa because she is a major obstacle for this to happen. I love her to pieces, but her character makes this thing impossible to take place. I'm sorry, Misa-Misa! DDD,: -tear-

I hope to get it mostly written (more than 10k) or finished by May 10 and edit like crazy so I can get this story submitted to the Max Challenge on mediaminer.org.

So yeah, that's the situation. Tomorrow night at 6:15 p.m. Eastern, I will be officially done with school for the summer. WHOO HOOO! So I now have plenty of free time and I once mentioned this to Alex (more like a bazillion times...) that I'm making May my month of Anime-watching marathon. And anythin' related to it... like fanfiction and fanart. I want to do some paintings so that I can put some up for Anime Iowa. I've decided on going there fo' realz, so yeah.

XD Sounds like a vacation spot.

But anyway, I had a wonderful time at my dad's place, totally enjoyed myself and Viva the puppy behaved well except in the last few hours because she was really missing her owners so she tried to stick with me as much as possible for human companion.

I've been watching Death Note because there's this fic I really want to write for the max challenge and I need to know their personoa to have the story to be convincing as much as possible. I watched Episode 14 last night so I'll watch the next one after I take my math exam.

I think I'll do well on that.. -shrugs-

And then I'll have to do my Western Civ II test tomorrow night and then I'm.... DONE FOR THE FREAKIN' SEMESTER!!!!!111111!!! 8D w00+

In the past half month or so, I've been inducted back into DA and I'm really, like, partcipating in it. I've been really into a lot of drawing and painting this month as well as writing. I guess because of my school load have lighten up, I was able to have my creativity flow again.

Anyway, I've been browsing a lot of Naruto fancomics.

Enjoy yourself if you enjoy looking at comics.

My most favorite one I've seen so far is this one. I laughed SO hard. Hee. You'll need to know Death Note too (along with Naruto), but even if you didn't, I'm sure you can appreciate the humor.

In other news, I'm nearly and finally caught up on Naruto Shippuuden anime. I have a question though, what episode do I find to find that one hour special when Kakashi was a kid and took the Sharingan from Obito? D:

Story, characterization, whatever

Thanks to six, he's now my writing muse in terms of letting my imagination flow. So, without further ado, here it is. I think I like my character, not sure what to do with him yet, but yeah.

The reason I stopped the sentence there is so that one, I don't get a writer's block and two, I can just pick up where I left off far easier than trying to figure out what the new sentence should be.

Anyway, as for the 'backstory' of why I wrote this particular 'boy' and on a canal. First, I always love to write about male protagonist, I can't get into a female protagonist, even though I am a girl myself. Then I had a sudden image of a boy sitting on the side of a canal and I wanted him to skip stones because I love skipping stones.

As for the boat drivers, in my experience, all of the boat drivers are friendly, I've never seen anyone who was driving a boat not care about anyone else. I guess it's because they are in their element and have their own boat and have a vacation every other day or so. That's why the captains are friendly to Jordan.

So, I wanted him to be 'daring,' and have him skip stones in a busy canal. As for the teenager, I don't know, I guess I wanted him to experience the angst of being a teenager. 'Course, he won't be emo, I hope. (You better not be, Jordan!) But case in point, I'm not sure where he's going at this point. What kind of problems is he having? I have no clue.

Howl's Moving Castle

Ha ha haaa
Just watched this one and man, Hayao Miyazaki is talented at telling stories. I have enjoyed his other movies (though I have only seen Princess Mononoke and Spirited away). I can't wait to see his other movies. I totally enjoyed this one and it was heart wrenching at times. I must say that out of three movies by him, this one is my favorite.

Mmm, Howl/Sophie forever~

Though, there's two things I kept wondering about, is the only time she makes herself younger (permanently at least) because she cried? And what was the war about?

Oh yeah, I'll reiterate the question I asked in that other long thing I wrote last night. What would one think if they saw a wandering lady out in the world on her own? Like, backpacking through a city.

In other news, I totally enjoyed myself this weekend. I am happy for this break from stuff in general. I haven't felt this light in, well, months. Even after I finished that paper I was enslaved to.
